Individuals must submit three pieces of journalistic work that appeared in the previous two calendar years (September 1, 2015- September 1, 2017).
Each entry can be any of the following:
Submit a link to the online version of the story or upload a file containing the story. Acceptable upload formats are PDF, Microsoft Word, or text (up to 10MB in size).
If the online version of the story has changes in content compared to the story in print or does not clearly show byline, name of the publication, and date of publication, then applicants must provide a PDF or common image format (up to 10MB in size) of the story as an electronic "tear sheet" showing the story as it appeared in print.
The cover date on the issue in which an article appears will be considered the date of publication.
Submit a link to the entry material. The online pages should be accessible throughout the judging period — October 16, 2017 – December 1, 2017 — either through an active URL or an archived link.
Submit a link to an MP3 file of the broadcast. The MP3 file must be accessible throughout the judging period — October 16, 2017 – December 1, 2017 — either through an active URL or an archived link.
Additionally, please upload a text version of the broadcast transcript or submit a link to an online transcript.
